This weekend brought our customers some challenges as the remnants of tropical storm Andrea came through Friday night. Saturday morning we faced some strong seas. Since C.J. Victoria is a beautifully designed boat were able to get to the mackerel fishing grounds to get some striped bass candy. After we got the bait we went bass fishing. We found action with instant hits and misses. The bass were not into a total feeding frenzy as the storm must have had the fish finicky. The afternoon was a much different story. The sun came out and the bite was on. Plenty of fish for everyone on the afternoon trip. We even got a “sailor” to catch a nice fish. Sunday morning and afternoon was non stop action for both trips with great results.
